Grandad on Tackling Heavy Work Loads - 6 March 2020

As a working rule, panic is a sign of lack of confidence & your self-confidence being high now, you immediately up your antenna to tackle any new problem which may land on your plate. You could always sound your seniors that you will take some time to deal with the extra work they are assigning to you, since you already have enough on your plate.

During my service days, there were occasions when I felt at sea but I always preferred to face those situations frontally & carefully analysed what all were my options to deal with the problem on my hand. After the first flush of a crisis passing away, I began to gradually work out the likely solution to the problem I faced & by & by the crisis would always get resolved because of my implicit faith that how can anything go wrong since I am doing my job as best as I can. My daily morning meditations too helped me to give me a proper perspective of the situation I faced.

Working with Dedication and Resilience, with focus on the process and not thinking about the result and the outcome -

Kindly note that surrendering to the Almighty is not a single act once in a lifetime. This is to be done as often as you do a duty with all your attention. You do your best within your capacity every time & surrender to the Almighty for whatever is to follow. You do not brood over what will follow. You need to forget about what will happen to whatever was your best at that moment (unless it is to prevent an error in future). You have to make it a habit - do your best in every situation & surrender to the Almighty for whatever may happen. If you have done your best, you will be fearless regarding the consequences. Only, the best is bound to happen every time. You have to be confident of this outcome as a matter of course.

Dada on Non Vegetarian - 18 May 2020..

I was advised non-veg food by doctors when I had a prolonged illness in 1965 which had weakened my liver & lungs & intake of animal protein was required. I took it with quite some loathing, but then got used to it when the body gained strength. Deoraha Baba, an over 300 years aged saint whom I met in Deoria coaxed me out of it a few years before I met Gurudev in 1979. I now realize that meeting Gurudev would not have been possible without my turning pure vegetarian because spiritual development is not possible without being vegetarian. This is discussed in my book.
