#31 - Some Important Points to think about

Some important pointers shared by grandad:
Your question - how do we believe what Sri Krishna teaches? You are testing what He advises you & if you find that the result is what He says - then that is the proof that He is not misleading you. If this is true in a few cases, then He is worth believing in the other matters which He says. Rest is a matter of trust & faith - one who is perpetually in doubt, there is no hope for him to have any mental peace - संशयात्मा विनष्यति. Afterall, why do you believe in your parents? Because you have trust in them, that they will not mislead you. There is no bar in your disbelieving them - who will be the loser?
Another point to note - in matters of self-development - साधना - you are all alone by yourself - only your Guru - your अन्तरात्मा (if you have no external Guru)- your inner self knows about it. So, neither do you need to reveal your experience to others or do you need to know or get concerned about what others are doing.
You do good as often as possible, just as your natural way of working, without expecting any reward. There is no doubt that when you generate positive vibes, only good can come your way, but do not rule out any lurking प्रारब्ध that is due for you. When some such unpleasant thing happens due to प्रारब्ध, just accept it with equanimity, but usually your good deeds dilute the severity of your प्रारब्ध & you get away with it lightly. This dilution happens often, for one who is doing good selflessly.
From morning to night, whatever you do, whether personal (your own entire routine of getting ready for the day etc) or official (relating to your job), do it mindfully, with responsibility & honesty, then you are doing the right thing always. This gradually generates a serenity, balance & a sense of perfection in your personality.
It is our duty - our स्वधर्म to try to know ourselves by close self examination of what we like, why we like etc & moderate our lives to make ourselves as comfortable & at ease as possible while we discharge our other duties relating to our family & society, provided our likes & dislikes are not anti-social or anti-nature.
When you say that there is a direct correlation between our body & the planet Earth, you should also know that what is in the entire Universe, is also within us. That is how adept rishis in the past acquired knowledge of the Universe by looking within.
Your next query - my connection with Gurudev (who was his mentor) - this is a live connection & if Gurudev has to give me any instructions, he does so in the early hours when I wake up in the morning - in the form of a sudden inspiration - & I know it is from Gurudev.
Grandad said - I definitely gained tremendously in my official functioning after I met Gurudev. He counselled moderation in my approach to official work instead of adopting an adversarial posture too often which improved my output many times over. (Not getting too hyped up, and dealing with the official matters in a very patient and calm manner.
