I have actively gotten into running / marathons since through Lakshyaa - we have gotten a chance to collaborate with Procam International (for Philanthropy Pillar at VDHM), that organizes the best marathons in India. Running has opened up a new dimension. Seeing runners set goals and break their personal barriers and records is amazing. Something that requires a lot of committment and dedication.

The runners mindset is something that also translates into daily lives. In day to day living we are faced with various challenges, deadlines, pressure situations. Training Mind to finish runs can teach us how to efficiently deal with such situations.

Self improvement is a major part of this, as wherever we stand today, we can be better than that, tomorrow - keep improving our current version.

Complacency and accepting who we are, and getting into comfort zone would not allow us to discover the beauty and capabilities that our mind and body posses. We also only have limited time on earth to explore and push our mental limits to explore the same, that what all can we conquer.

As I write this blog, I personally set a few goals for myself -

1) Keep getting better in the 21K marathon formats

2) I have signed up for 42km full marathon at Kashmir on 25th October 2026 - effectively leaving me with limited time. Optimizing this time, and completing the full marathon. ‘

3) Lastly in 2-3 years, want to complete the challenging marathon of Ladakh

4) Consistent Healthy eating and strength training

The above points would require a considerable amount of dedication, discipline and commitment, and staying at it. I am learning much from the runners and athletes who are around me, who has the fire and the beast mentallity to kill the barriers, push the bar and take themselves to the next level!

As you read this blog, I would also urge you to set some goals basis where you are in your fitness journeys - and keep pushing. The entire goal is how we can continue to raise our mental strength and set strong tangible goals that can help us to further keep discovering ourselves.
