- Delhi comes together to pay tribute to Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon - Param Vir Chakra on 4th October 2026.

- In Srinagar during 1971 War, Shri Sekhon (Flying Officer) defended the airfield single-handedly against enemy Jets. The marathon marked a tribute to him, to his heroism, supreme quality of leadership, and complete disregard to personal safety to protect Bharat.

- With gratitude pay prayers to heroes like him, and armed forces who defend us and our borders day in and day out.

- Qualities learnt - Mental grit , resilience, honesty, accountability, many more to stregthen the communities and reach the last mile

-Running the Half Marathon after a few months. There are moments when the mind tells you that it is difficult to complete, and that is exactly when one has to remind oneself that this is why we have signed up for the marathon. It is this mental toughness/barrier, that one gets an opportunity to overcome, and discover the limitless capabilities of the mind and body.

Overall, a great expereince! and more so as we all were running in the memory of someone who defended our country, and made the ultimate sacrifice.

Jai Hind!
