My Grandad — A Family Man and a Lover of Country

I was lucky to have had email communication with dada for 7 years when I was abroad in US. He has played a pivotal role in giving direction to my life, meaning and something to look forward to.

He left for his onward journey on 13th June 2025, but is still ever present and is everywhere. His aura is so strong and the work that he created and left behind is immortal. Starting this blog journey to capture the communications I have had with him over the years. To His Mission and Vision of life that is being carried forward by — REACHA — www.reacha.org (Non Profit founded and created by him in 1992). I personally got so inspired by the body of work that Dada generated in his lifetime, that I was pulled towards REACHA.

REACHA embodies his energy and thought process.

He diligently in a very detailed manner created this institution which has and continues to aim to strengthen the nation! Dada has inspired many, and I was lucky and fortunate to be one of them who could get an opportunity to connect with him and get mentored by him at a deeper level. I will be forever grateful for the time and mentorship that he gave me from his busy schedule.

With a lot of patience and love, he guided me during the time I was abroad and ensured that I learn and imbibe the importance of our country’s culture, its significance, its spiritual depth, in order to lead a life filled with purpose and meaning.

In his last days, when he was quite unwell, he used to often tell me — “Mudit, you have to now get prepared to say good bye to Daada, sooner or later. There is a lot of my legacy to you, waiting to get compiled. That will help you to be with me all the time. Be brave and get on to that job. Our blessings. Through the blog journey — I will be compiling all the conversations, learnings that I have had with him over my lifetime.

I was also lucky enough to discuss Bhagavad Gita with him - all 700 shlokas. Got interpretation of all 700 shlokas through the lens of his vast experience that he had in his life.
